Fitchburg Housing Authority – Canton Valley Development

We are working with the Fitchburg Housing Authority in providing full architectural and engineering services for a comprehensive building envelope upgrade and lighting upgrade at the Canton Valley Housing Development. Funded by DHCD and Comprehensive Sustainability Initiative (CSI) grant with the goal to achieve the maximum energy conservation and to have the maximum emission reductions possible within the defined budget. The extensive work requires unit upgrades and an additional ADA units in this elderly housing development. The work brings this rather elegant “Mid-Century” development from being an energy sinkhole to exceed 21^st century performance standards, significantly reducing energy use and improving resident comfort and control.
