Nawn Factory Wellness Center

Roxbury, MA

Project Type

6,000 - 10,000 sf.

This very exciting project takes place in Roxbury’s historic Nubian Square. A two-story brick manufacturing structure built circa 1880 and named after its owner, Owen Nawn, a Roxbury contractor who was also responsible for building some of the elevated Orange line along Washington Street in 1901. Phase 1 consists of site exploration and fit plan studies for a viable space of a 6,000 to 10,000 square foot new wellness center with a range of potential design and development services needed for the Wellness Collaborative, Inc while carefully preserving the historic integrity of the Nawn Building. In addition to the wellness center on the second floor of the space, this project intends to combine both public and private spaces, a community space woven with privately owned amenities such as café, history museum, on the first floor for the people of Roxbury.
